Shinobi can be very submissive, but had been using his Yoshiko persona to become more assertive. In public, as Yoshiko, he plays the part of an icily demure, young woman.
Powers: Shinobi can manipulate his molecular density from intangible to diamond-hard; he uses the increased density as body-armour on occasion. As it takes somewhere between fifteen to thirty seconds to change his density, he frequently starts an attack using an empathic 'first strike' to catch and keep his opponent/victim off-guard. He is also a physical empath; he cannot feel other people's emotions, but he can feel whatever physical sensations they are experiencing, and project physical sensations back. However he can only project those sensations if he's in physical contact with the person. On one level though, he can "read" emotions by interpreting the sensations he's receiving.
Weaknesses: Shinobi hates to be touched. Unless he initiates the contact being touched without permission might provoke a panic attack in him. As mentioned he can "read " emotions but unless he knows the target well, and/or can study him or her, he can easily confuse someone having a panic attack with someone falling in love at first sight. He cannot phase through force fields, and energy attacks will affect him in a phased state. His inability comprehend social mores sometimes causes him to act inappropriately in a public places. He also has a vendetta against his father that can be used to twist him around.

Detailed History:
Shinobi is the bastard son of Sebastian Shaw, borne out of a month long affair with a "hostess" at the Hellfire Club's Tokyo branch. Yoshiko never told Sebastian about the child, well aware he would deny it and it would be too much trouble to prove it. That particular branch's manager would have tossed her out on her ear or forced her to get an abortion had she not had knowledge that he was embezzling club funds. As it was she gave birth to Shinobi and raised him at the club, where he was cooed over and looked after by other hostesses (who also benefited from Yoshiko's blackmail of the branch manager.) Unfortunately Yoshiko was killed when Shinobi was seven, and in a twisted revenge the branch manager decided Shinobi would have to pull his own weight as one of the club's "hosts." Since virtually nothing is forbidden in the Hellfire Club, he soon fell into the hands of members with pedophiliac tendencies. This has culminated into a lifelong phobia about being touched without his permission, and an immense dislike of actually having sex; although with his empathic abilities he is an active and rather involved voyeur. The other hosts and hostesses tried their best comfort him, since Yoshiko had been very popular with them, and they doted upon her son. Despite knowing Sebastian had no idea of his existence, Shinobi developed a hatred of his absent father, for leaving him in such a terrible situation. Being a decent man in this respect at least, although Sebastian would have continued to deny that Shinobi was his son, but he would have retrieved Shinobi from the club after his mother's death, if he had known of Shinobi's existence.
Despite this terrible turn of events, Shinobi managed to educate himself beyond what anyone ever thought possible of him. When he hit puberty his mutant powers manifested and it was his turn to take revenge on the club's manager. He forced the man to feel all the physical pain Shinobi had experienced over the years, then reached in and removed the man's heart from his chest. One of the senior hostesses helped get rid of the body and took over the management. Since Shinobi was a favorite pet of the hosts and hostesses, his mutant powers remained their little secret, although one superstitious hostess believed them gifts sent back by Yoshiko to help her son. Shinobi remained at the club, having nowhere else to go, and no idea of how behave in an environment other then the club. He continued working as a host, distasteful as it was to him. Shinobi also became that branch's unofficial assassin, using his mutant powers to discreetly do way with any "problems" that came up. He did however put the experience to good use and learned what he could from the businessmen and politicians that frequented the club. Eventually, when Shinobi was seventeen, he was offered a chance to go to the Hellfire Club's New York Branch, where he continued to take in whatever information he could and plot to use it to his advantage.
Shortly after he turned nineteen, Shinobi made the acquaintance of Warren Worthington. Not love at first sight but close enough, since Shinobi found Warren endlessly fascinating for some reason. This fascination grew into obsession when he reached out with his physical empathy and could feel the wings Warren was hiding. He used every excuse he could to work when Warren was at the club, and found himself gathering as much information as he could about Warren and what might affect him. One night, Shinobi decided it was time to approach the gorgeous man with information that would be critical to Warren's business. Shinobi had discovered that a business partner of Warren's was actually working both sides of a deal, and was favoring the other side to the point it would have done Warren considerable financial harm.
Shinobi offered Warren a 'backrub,' which Warren regretfully rejected. Shinobi whispered into Warren's ear that he knew about Warren's little secret. Warren proved quite receptive to that, and the information Shinobi provided about the treachery of Warren's partner. The golden playboy took Shinobi into his bed, where Shinobi revealed his own mutant abilities. However the night almost ended in disaster as Shinobi nearly had an emotional breakdown after they had sex; he just couldn't reconcile that act as something he wanted to do with someone he found so attractive. In a fit of compassion, Warren bought Shinobi's contract from the club and took him as his personal assistant, promising that he will never be touched by anyone - including Warren himself - without his explicit consent.
In order to disguise himself from being recognized as a Hellfire Club host, particularly from those he may have serviced in the past, Shinobi adopted a female public persona, Yoshiko Drinkwater, and dressed accordingly. The role became one that Shinobi has enjoyed playing to the hilt.
About six months after Shinobi moved in, a recently hired maid saw him helping Warren preen his wings out by the swimming pool. This maid ran away screaming that she would expose Warren to the authorities. Shinobi, however, recognized the "maid" was in fact a tabloid reporter who must have gotten herself hired in order to fabricate plausible scandalous innuendo about Warren. All her screaming about authorities was a ruse to cover up that she thought she had just hit the tabloid jackpot. In a fit of murderous loyalty, Shinobi followed the girl, caught her up against a wall, and let her feel just how pleasurable it was to preen Warren's wings. Then with a sweet smile, he phased his hand into her brain and crushed parts of it, making it appear that she had a stroke. With that reckless act, Shinobi cemented Warrens trust in him and the two truly became a team, working together to achieve their goals and satisfy their most secret desires.
As time passed, Warren and Shinobis relationship has become very complex and symbiotic. In spite of Shinobis reluctance to be touched and his rejection of sexual contact, his empathic abilities allow him to be an active and rather involved voyeur. Warren provides Shinobi with vicarious experiences, protection, and indirect access to an enormous amount of power. In turn, Shinobi is Warren's personal assistant, assassin, and submissive servant; while supporting and enabling Warrens hedonism to their mutual enjoyment. Combining their joint business expertise, Warrens wealth and influence, and Shinobis underworld contacts, has made them into a formidable power in the international economy. In a way, the two men are perfectly matched, both personally and professionally, and have become quite devoted to each other; although it is extremely unlikely anyone else would notice.
However, Shinobi recently has struck out on his own. While he is still very much in love with Warren, he can no longer reside or work with him due to a complex set of events, which lead to a sense of betrayal on Shinobis part. He has, under the guise of Yoshiko, taken over the incapacitated Sebastian Shaws businesses, both the legal and illegal, and laid claim to Shaws position of Red Bishop.
