It's that time again. The bad news is, I'll be in dress rehearsals this week, T - Th, and the show opens Friday. The good news is, that once the show is open, I can pretty much kick back and just and teach and write till February, which is awesome.

I'm sick again. Really, really I can't believe this thing is back in my chest again IthinkIjustcoughedupalungohmygodhowdoIbreathe? kind of sick. I have asthma, so any chest cold becomes bronchitis, but I thought it was all but done. Now it's back with a vengeance. I'll do my very best to post tomorrow, but I might be off to the docs for some ER breathing treatment time. Updates laters.

It's that time again. I'll be in dress rehearsals all this week at night, from five until ... whenever. Meh. I also have to stay opening night, as we have a respondent coming from the American College Theatre Festival, and I have to be the buffer for my student costume designer. Sooooo ... I'll probably be a little slow replying all week long as I work my 15 hour + days. And meh, still sick on top of it.

I'm sorry I've been so absent this week. It's been a bit busy and stressful.

At work we're working on an upgrade to a major system; theoretically it's only a point upgrade, but since the Finance dept. decided to be dicks, we're working on a truncated schedule (discovered the reason they claim we can't do the upgrade on a Monday was a load of pig shit, they're just being bastards.) We're also trying to get anothere program up and...

So my family is going to be in town this weekend, from some time on Fri (but we're not sure whether that's early Fri or late Fri. sigh.). Which means I have to clean up. If you knew how messy I was you'd know just how daunting a task this is. I started last night, realized that even after they're gone that it's going to be a weekend-worthy mission to *truly* clean, and also discovered a centipede like bug. And I'm not done.

All that to say, I don't...

Ugh, school started today, so I am back to teaching and bound to be slower than my usual slowness because I teach my huge assed lecture course this semester. Meh. Can you feel my enthusiasm? Oh, I think you can.

Just found out that a very dear woman, my grandmother's niece who was more like a second mom to me, passed away yesterday. This has hit me just as bad as if I was told my mother died. So, please forgive me while I try to get myself into some sort of order. I'm not able to make the trip to Kentucky to attend the funeral, so I'm more out of sorts than .... well...

Book Deadline

So, I have a deadline coming up to deliver a sample chapter of my textbook project to my editor. I really need to get the thing done, so I have to make it a priority. Once it's in (and it's supposed to be in next week), I'll have a little more time as it gets sent out for review of the viability of the project, and I can wit anxiously to see if the project gets backed. So, I might be even slower than I currently am in posting until I get the chapter done and the proposal off...

So just as I was coming back to get going on MM, we discover that the studio room of Tommy's dulpex is FILLED WITH MOLD. The air conditioner in his house has been on the fritz not draining propperly, and the closet behind the air conditioner got filled with water and now there's about a 1" tall film of mold on everything back in there. And in the air conditioner. And in the air.

So as of June 27th we are suddenly looking for a new place for him to live - neither of us...

hey all, life is gonna be kinda crazy for the next 10 days or so. big deadline at work and i'm going to DC next week for the day of interview hell at the census bureau: 6 interviews and a job talk all in one day. and i still have to make slides for the talk.

so i'll try to post as much as i can, but it may be pretty spotty until after the 16th.
